My name is Tom and I’m a copywriter based in Plymouth. I’ve been writing professionally for brands and businesses for 10+ years, so it goes without saying that I care about words.
Over the past decade, I’ve written a lot of words for a lot of people: from national big heads to little-known start-ups. And I’ve done most of it sitting in my pyjamas eating Wotsits. Only joking, I prefer Scampi Fries.
I’ve enjoyed eight eventful years working as a copywriter for a national agency, but I’m now going it alone. I’m standing on my own two feet. I even built this website myself, can you tell? Don’t laugh.
You know what though? Writing—whether for brands or businesses—isn’t about me. It’s about the audience I dance with. Their thoughts, their emotions, their perception. That’s where the real magic happens.
Who knows what your perception of me is right now. It’s probably time to check out some of my work? If you like what you see, you know what to do. We can take it from there!
A few bits that may or may not sway your decision in working with me:
You’ll get agency-quality work without the agency overhead.
I can handle the heat—both in the kitchen (spicy food 😋) and in the world of copy.
I have three young children to feed, each with growth-spurt appetites. Spicy food’s off the menu for them, I’m afraid.
PS - I’ve done plenty of work on LinkedIn for businesses and individuals, but you won’t find me doing much there—dreadful place for creative introverts.
