If you’re partial to a glass of bourbon, chances are Buffalo Trace is already on your radar. A staple in American liquor aisles, this whiskey brand has heritage on its side but required a fresh approach to cracking the UK market.
Rather than leaning on its storied past, the UK team wanted to position Buffalo Trace as a whiskey for modern moments—one to enjoy while unwinding after work or to be mixed during pre-drinks on the weekend. This was more about embracing high-quality moments for yourself, rather than admiring rich distillery history.
For over four years, I led content strategy and copywriting for the brand’s social media. From captions and typography to writing online ads designed to tempt whiskey sippers, my role was to make Buffalo Trace feel at home in the UK. And while I’ll never be convinced on the taste of whiskey, I’ll still raise a glass to the opportunity of working with such a legendary brand.
