Job: Motion billboard @ West Ham’s London Stadium
If you haven’t heard, then SYPS is a soda brand created and owned by Mancunian rapper Aitch. To promote the soda’s launch, Aitch performed at halftime during the 2023 SideMen charity football match at West Ham’s London Stadium.
My role was to create a tagline for the motion billboards displayed pitchside during the game. Since the match was being played at West Ham’s home ground, I initially played with the idea of incorporating the club’s iconic song, Forever Blowing Bubbles, and linking it to the sparkles found in SYPS soda.
Perhaps a little too niche to the Hammers? Possibly—especially since Aitch is a Manchester United fan. In the end, I landed with something more universally appealing to the wider football fan: THE TOP BINS OF FIZZ.
