Job: Squashed Online social media content
For a bit of fizzy fun, we decided to create content inspired by the humorous stories you can often find in local news and community groups. This led to the creation of a fictional news outlet, ‘Squashed Online’, designed to share similar Vimto-themed tales.
My role was to think up and write out make-believe stories that blended the absurd with just enough plausibility to keep audiences intrigued. In time, the lines between fiction and reality blurred a little too much, so to avoid any further confusion, the brand ultimately retired the Squashed Online series. Shame, because I really want to do more.
