BRAND: SODA FOLK🥤
JOB: PRODUCT PACKAGING DESCRIPTION
I was given the chance to write the product description—more of a blurb—for Soda Folk’s newest Root Beer cans. If you aren't aware, Soda Folk doesn’t just champion bold flavours; it also champions those who give back.
Each soda flavour features an illustrative ‘hero’ on the front—an inspirational person who has made a meaningful impact in their community. On the back, you’ll find a tribute sharing their story and why they’ve been chosen as a Soda Folk hero. For the Root Beer, my task was to highlight a fella called Jim Elliot, a man who embarked on a solo canoeing mission to clean the River Freshney in Grimsby.
With a short character limit and a fun tone of voice, it was important to keep my writing tight, light, and full of admiration for Jim’s selfless efforts on the river. Thankfully, as someone who revels in the unique, medicinal taste of Root Beer, a couple of cans later, Jim’s story was brought to life.
This work was completed during my time at the Socialgram agency.
